Take the lead é um idiom que significa assumir a liderança ou tomar a frente para fazer alguma coisa. Exemplos:

“She took the lead on this new project.” (Ela assumiu a liderança nesse novo projeto.)

“Someone needs to take the lead and make a decision.” (Alguém precisa tomar a frente e decidir.)
