In the nick of time é um idiom que significa no último momento possível. Exemplos:

“We got there just in the nick of time to send the documents.” (Nós chegamos lá no último momento possível para mandar os documentos.)

“The money came in the nick of time. I was really worried.” (O dinheiro veio no último momento possível. Eu estava realmente preocupada.)
