Cover up

Cover up é um phrasal verb que significa cobrir, abafar ou encobrir. Exemplos:

“The government’s attempts to cover up the scandal failed.” (As tentativas do governo de encobrir o escândalo falharam.)

“The sun is too strong, that’s why I’m all covered up.” (O sol está muito forte, por isso eu estou toda coberta.)
