Break the law

Break the law é um idiom que significa desobedecer a lei. Exemplos:

“Mary hates breaking the law, so that’s why I don’t think she did it.” (Mary odeia desobedecer a lei, por isso que eu acho que ela não fez isso.)

“I’m not doing this, I don’t want to break the law.” (Eu não vou fazer isso, eu não quero desobedecer a lei.)
