Down in the dumps

Down in the dumps é utilizado para dizer que a pessoa está muito triste. Exemplos:

“Peter has been down in the dumps since Mary left for her internship in France.” (Peter tem estado muito triste desde que a Mary foi para o estágio na França.)

“I feel down in the dumps everytime I see people mistreating animals.” (Eu me sinto muito triste toda vez que vejo as pessoas maltratando os animais.)
