On the tip of the tongue

On the tip of the tongue significa na ponta da língua, quando estamos quase lembrando de algo que gostaríamos de falar. Exemplos:

“I’ll remember, it’s on the tip of my tongue.” (Eu vou lembrar, está na ponta da minha língua.)

“Don’t say it, it’s on the tip of my tongue!“ (Não fale, está na ponta da minha língua!)
