Call one’s shot

Call one’s shot é uma expressão que significa prever o que vai acontecer e acertar, anunciar uma jogada antes de fazê-la. Exemplos:

“She called her shot and got the promotion.” (Ela disse que conseguiria a promoção e conseguiu.)

“He called his shot before the game and said that they were going to win.” (Ele afirmou antes do jogo que eles iriam ganhar.)
