Yield to

Yield to é um phrasal verb que pode significar ceder a alguma coisa ou ser substituído(a). Exemplos:

“She managed to stay away from sweets for a month but yielded to temptation yesterday.” (Ela conseguiu ficar longe de doces por um mês mas cedeu a tentação ontem.)

“The old furniture were yielded to new and modern pieces to match the new concept of the place.” (A mobília antiga foi substituída por peças novas e modernas para combinar com o novo conceito do lugar.)
