Long shot

Long shot é uma expressão que pode significar improvável, algo que tem poucas chances de acontecer ou pode significar “de longe”. Exemplos:

“It is a long shot but it might work.” (É improvável mas pode funcionar.)

“Mary is the best at this by a long shot.“ (Mary é de longe a melhor nisso.)
