Brush up signifca praticar ou melhorar algo. Exemplos:

“I’m taking classes with Teacher Pri to brush up my English”. (Eu estou fazendo aulas com a Teacher Pri para praticar meu inglês).

“Mary is spending a lot of time brushing up her cooking skills”. (Mary está passando bastante tempo melhorando suas habilidades cilunárias).
