Take over

Take over é um phrasal verb que significa tomar o controle de alguma coisa, ficar responsável por alguma coisa. Exemplos:

“The new teacher will take over the classes next semester.” (O novo professor ficará responsável pelas classes no próximo semestre.)

“The drug lords have taken over the neighbourhood.” (Os traficantes tomaram conta do bairro.)
